In Mental Health What Do Symptoms Mean?

Symptoms are behavioral or physical activities that a person engages in or actions that a
person takes and the belief is that these physical manifestations mean something, especially when new or different symptoms appear following or assumed to be in relation to some “event" in a person’s life. The idea is that a person’s symptoms are viewed as a collection and listed, and then one looks in a book that lists labels for various types of “mental illness" and the symptoms that apply to that mental illness are listed. One then finds the label that has a large number of a person’s symptoms and that label is attached to that person.

What does this accomplish beyond “labeling" a person? Nothing, except that the drug companies have [because BS&P (Behavioral Science & Programs based on behaviorism) has been unable to treat people with any effectiveness] developed  specific drugs for certain "labels" that block the synaptic operation within a person’s brain blocking the message from his/her MIND, and thus the person is rendered incapable of “venting" emotional energy in the usual “symptoms" and this is then believed to be helpful. This belief is delusional, of course, in that all a person’s MIND does is generate different symptoms by which to “vent" the emotional energy being generated within the person's MIND... and these alternate forms of “venting" take the form of illnesses of various kinds. These illnesses are referred to as “side effects" of the drugs.

The licensing of counselors, social workers, and therapists in California, by the way, is based on a testing of people as to how well they have memorized the symptoms of the various “mental illnesses" [a typical faculty of those who are Left-brain dominant, and thus another way of insuring only those natually in denial of the Esoteric reams within Man are licensed].  The test measures ritualized thinking regarding what is “proper treatment" of the legendary “typical person". This “test" is administered by a private firm, as contracted by the “California Board of Behavioral Science". What this means in reality is that the behaviorism of B. F. Skinner, put forth as a delusional projection by him in the early 1900’s, has finally become the king of the hill in California.... where it has been apparently determined to abandon the concepts of competency and effectiveness in favor of a purely intellectual approach to treating people like one-dimensional machines. A complete denial of two-thirds of the human being where collectivist assumption, speculation, and cookie cutter attention to irrelevant detail have replaced insight, empathy, and Knowledge of one's own MIND.

In a world comprised of people who are fearful of the unknown within themselves - but don't realize this,  the answer of BS&P is to insure that everyone, including those in BS&P, remain ignorant of two-thirds of themselves. And testing now rewards those who are in denial of the Esoteric realms within Man with licensure, and keeps those with naturally psychic gifts in the shadows.... since they do not have an overly compensated intellect because they have access to intuition, insight, empathy, and Knowledge of the MIND.  We surely don't want those people working with those who need them. The terms that apply to BS&P are generally  distrust, suspicion, intolerance, and oppressive "control".  That sounds like fear to me.

Now those of you who imagine that these "experts" know who and what the Whole human being is... raise your hands. All of you with your hands in the air.... need to know that the so-called "experts" in "mental health" are just as frightened of [and even more dedicated to not knowing] the mysterious two-thirds of Man as you are. Does this surprise you?

In mental health there is a term many know as "Scotoma". This term refers to a fascinating phenomenon that some in the field have heard about, but few actually know what causes it, or how it works, they only observe its manifestation. Fritz Perls, in his In and Out the Garbage Pail, referred to it as "blind spot" and explained that a person within whom it is active literally cannot "hear" or "see" anything that his/her MIND perceives as threatening. The "unknown" hidden within Man is guarded by Scotoma which is a Defense Mechanism or D-M of the MIND. That's the reason  so few realize that they are "unknowingly" fearful of the unknown within themselves. Since those in "modern mental health" are trained in BS&P, they know nothing of the MIND or Spiritual realms within Man.  They are in denial of the "unknown" within themselves as well, and they do do not realize this.  Unfortunately, instead of helping other overcome this fear, they unwittenly reinforce the fear in others as well as in themselves.  One only discovers this fear of the unknown within oneself when one undergoes his/her own psychotherapy.  This has gone on for over a century now. Perhaps it's time for a change?

When several generations in BS&P have known nothing but BS&P, and those unknowingly in denial of the "unknown" in themselves and others are in charge of mental health at all levels.... how likely is it we will see change?

Not likely is correct. So what do you do if you are actually in need of competent and effective help for yourself or for a family member? Well, there is an alternative just beginning to emerge. That alternative is strictly an educational program... so as to prevent those in charge of mental health from destroying it as they have the Psychology of the ancient Greeks.

The alternative is called "Esochology" and a Goggle search will give you much to research. The essential difference between the two is a respect for and the inclusion of the missing two-thirds of the whole human being in Esochology. These missing two-thirds are your MIND realm and your Spiritual realm.... and they are very important if you want to understand who and what... and even "why" you are.
